Enforcement of the Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Act 2011 and written Legislation relating to inspection, quarantine and enforcement at entry points, quarantine stations and quarantine premises for plants, animals, carcasses, fish, agricultural products, soil, microorganisms and Malaysia's imported and exported food which adheres the aspects of human, animals, plants and fish health and food safety.

Enforcement officer means an enforcement officer appointed under section 5 or 6 of this Act including and includes the Director General and Deputy Director General

Powers entitled to an enforcement officer are:

  • Power of Investigation authority
  • Power of Arrest authority
  • Search and seizure with warrant
  • search and seizure without warrant
  • Power to seal premises and conveyance carriers
  • Access to Computerised Data
  • Power to Stop, Search and Seize Conveyance to halt, search and seize carriers
  • List of seized plant, animal, carcass, etc., Seized
  • Examination of persons acquainted with case
  • Admissibility of statement in evidence
  • Power to require attendance of persons acquainted with case
  • Forfeiture of seized plant, animal, carcass, etc.
  • Release of seized plant, animal, carcass, etc.
  • Power to take Samples
  • Examination or testing of seized plant, animal, carcass, etc.
  • Additional powers authority
  • Compounding of Offences
  • Prosecution
